Rotary Club Of Pune Heritage Mega Year Long Project Menstrual Hygiene Awareness and Sanitary Pad Distribution Drive We, at Rotary Club of Pune Heritage decided to work on this issue as a Year Long Project and possibly ongoing for years to come. We educate girl students in various schools about menstrual hygiene and why a woman needs sanitary napkin during these days. We also educate them about the disposal of used pads in proper way. In addition to educating the girls on this issue, we distribute Sanitary Napkins along with paper bags with Red Dot for disposing of pads. We are working with the following schools with low income group students. 1) Ambedkar School, Kothrud, Pune. 2) Samrat Ashok Vidyalaya, Kothrud, Pune 3) Eklavya Nyasa, Shukrawar Peth, Pune 4) Apte Prashala ,Apte Road, Pune 5) Jijamata Highschool, Shukrawar Peth, Pune 6) Swami Vivekanand, Vidyamandir, Dapodi, Pune Future Planning: We have been receiving excellent feedback from the beneficiaries and requests from new schools to start the project in their schools as well. In response to this we are working on increasing the number of beneficiaries to 1,000 girls in coming days.
