RC Pune Heritage organized Teachers' Training programme for the teachers of 9th and 10th Standards in Zilla Parishad Schools in rural areas around Pune. SSC syllabus for 10th standard has changed this year. It is important that the teachers understand the purpose of change and the changing expectation in the approach to teaching. The best people to explain this are those who have been part of the committees at Balbharati that designed the new syllabus. We had four such members to guide teachers about Maths, Science, English and Marathi. 114 teachers from Maval, Mulashi, Velhe, Bhor and Khed talukas attended this full day programme. Response to the programme was very encouraging. Many teachers met the organizers and requested more such programmes covering specific topics. District Literacy Co-Director Pallavi Deshpande graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
